Food is such an important part of Mexican culture and we are going to celebrate this by exploring the basics with a very authentic and traditional outlook. This class will arm you with the foundations to create your own Mexican dishes from scratch at home.
First, we are going to talk tortillas and make some traditional flour and corn masa tortillas from scratch.
Chiles, salsa’s, and spices are next on the agenda including where to source them, how to use them and together, how to combine them to make a Salsa Rojo Ranchera and a smoky Salsa Tatemada.
Next, the showstopper, as we will be creating two of the most loved tacos of all, the Al Pastor and the Ranchera.
